This global test market review will answer the question that everybody needs an answer to, are they legit or a scam? is an online paid surveys community that pays you in points for taking surveys, which you can then redeem for rewards. Survey sites that pay in points still gives you the option to convert the points to cash.

You can therefore still earn money online with surveys that you participate in and also have a choice to redeem the points for other rewards with leading retailers. Surveys can be a fun way to earn a little extra money in the month and can be a nice supplement to your other income.

GlobalTestmarket GMIGlobalTestMarket, powered by Lightspeed GMI, was first started in 1999, and is one of the biggest market research companies around. Lightspeed boast more than 1400 clients in over 60 countries.

GlobalTestMarket is a well paying market research company and has actually paid out over $32 million in rewards to its members in 2014.

You will have fun while you learn about new products to come on the market from some top companies all over the world. You will play an active role in the development of these new products and services. You can even help shape the future of your own country, because some of the surveys are centered on the conditions in your country.

Did I mention you get rewarded for that?

Below is my Global Test Market review, which is summarized from various sources: information obtained from the GlobalTestMarket website, feedback obtained from GlobalTestMarket users of the site, my own personal experiences, and my own thorough research.

Please give your feed back below if there is something on your mind, or if you have something to say about this survey company.

Payment means: Points system known as MarketPoints.

Additional ways to earn: You can also get rewarded with sweepstakes entries for quarterly prize draws.

Amount per sPointsurvey: Amount earned depends on length of surveys, and you will be notified of the amount before you start the survey. Average per survey is about 35-50 points.

Payment minimum: 1000 MarketPoints minimum, but can also be different between countries. 1000 marketpoints is equal to US $50.

How you get paid: Can actually be different between countries. You choose your rewards from their different country reward catalogs, which could include the following; PayPal, Amazon, Macy’s and more. You can also choose to donate your earnings to charity.

When do you get paid: Rewards paid out when you request it after minimum level is reached, but some members report waiting for their money for over a month.

Survey Details

Email inboxHow you get notified: Receive notification per e-mail of available surveys. Also when logging into your account under the ‘Surveys’ page.

Frequency of surveys: How frequently you get surveys differs from person to person, and depends on your profile and demographics. It is a difficult question to answer as members from different counties can actually receive completely different amounts of surveys.

For example; A German company that mostly requires feedback from members from Germany will obviously have more surveys available for members from Germany, etc.

I receive about 5 survey invitations per week, but it can vary.

Survey Lengths: Depends on the length of the survey, but usually not more than 20 minutes.

Type of Surveys available: Online surveys. Mobile surveys (with their mobile app).

How often do you qualify: The profile surveys at GlobalTestMarket are very thorough and that usually means that when you are invited for a survey, you will be able to complete the survey. It could however still happen that you sometimes do not qualify for a survey that you were invited for, but it is more of an exception than a norm.

Other information: It is important to complete your profile surveys and to keep them updated; this enhances your chances to receive more survey invitations. Something that I haven’t found on other sites is; they also send you profile survey invitations by email (they must be important then).

A further good aspect of this site is the fact that there are less of the same demographic questions asked of you in surveys, they actively try to limit these types of questions, because they already know you. Most other sites ask you your age, sex and location with each new survey, as if you had a sex change overnight, every night.

This site also has a percentage completed bar on the top or bottom of the screen with every survey you take, so you will always know how far along the survey is.

General Comments

Registration with GlobalTestMarket is of course free as it should be. You need to complete a registration form and choose a password (can be changed later), and after activating your email address you will start receiving survey invitations per email.

You receive your first survey invitation as soon as you have activated your account, and this will be in the form of profile surveys. I also received my first paying survey after I did my first profile survey, and got paid 35 points.

The company has a good customer service, which adds to the positive experience.

The website is well setup and easy to navigate, with no unnecessary menu tabs to keep you distracted. The front page shows everything you need such as your available points, surveys, and your profile survey progress.

You are able to see all your previous surveys that you completed and also those you did not qualify for. This appears on the ‘Recent MarketPoints Activity’ page, and here you can keep track of the points you were awarded and those which are yet to be confirmed.

Be careful of scam artists using the GlobalTestMarket name to steal money from you, always make sure you are dealing with the legitimate GlobalTestMarket website. Offers of work as customer services evaluators, mystery shoppers, and survey agents, using the GlobalTestMarket emblem is a scam; stay clear.

This judgement section is going to be much longer than normal, so bear with me.

It is still early days for me with this site as I only joined them in the last month, but I can truly say that I have only had positive experiences with and have had no reason to suspect them as being a scam site.

There is however several complaints online about them, people complain that their accounts are being closed and that they don’t get paid.Global Test Market Scam or not?

I always take complaints online with a grain of salt, and prefer to make up my own mind through my own experiences. Perhaps there are reasons why some people’s accounts get closed, maybe the terms of the site was not followed; I don’t know.

I am not saying that there are not complaints that are completely legit, of course there are.

The only thing I can tell you is about my own experiences, and like I said I have had no reason to suspect them as being anything else but legit. This is not to say that you and I should not be cautious. Always be careful what information you give any site.

I want to give you an example: One of their profile surveys is about ‘Finances’. I answered some of the questions, but when they asked me to state every type of bank account I have; I closed the survey. NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!

It is a matter of deciding what you are comfortable in sharing online.

Perhaps I am just lucky, or perhaps where I come from has something to do with it, but since I became a member of GTM I have received survey invitations almost every day; something like 5 per week.

Looking for another site with high survey invitations? Check out my Toluna Review for detail of just such a site.

I always advice people to join many survey sites, and that is exactly the reason why I would advice you to join GlobalTestMarket as well. This site, together with the other sites, can really add up to give you that little extra money you need.

I will update this review after I have been with them for a few months, and will then also have a better understanding whether some online complaints about them are legit or not.

So, is global test market a scam or not? In my opinion they are legit, but join them yourself and I am sure you will come to the same conclusion. I will appreciated it if you can also rate this survey site on the above rating system, to assist other users.

Final verdict: Worth joining.
